Transfer books to your Kindle if you have already purchased a Kindle book magazine or newspaper using your Amazon account visit the manage your content and devices page at amazon.com forward slash my CD and locate the item you want from the your content section click the actions button and then click deliver from the drop down menu choose the Kindle you want to send the content to and click deliver the content will automatically be delivered to your Kindle provided it is connected wirelessly you can also transfer a variety of compatible content from your Windows or Mac computer to your Kindle through a USB cable click the actions button and then click download and transfer via USB choose the Kindle you want to send the content to from the drop-down menu and click the download button you may be prompted to open or save the file choose save and select a location that is easy to find again such as the desktop if you have not yet purchased the item choose transfer via computer when making your purchase in the Kindle Store then select buy now with one click once you save the file to your computer connect your Kindle device to your computer using a USB cable your Kindle will appear in the same location as external USB drives usually appear open the Kindle Drive you may need to unlock your Kindle device before it can be opened on your computer move Kindle content such as books to the Documents folder be sure to safely eject your Kindle device from your computer after your transfer is complete your content now appears on the downloaded tab which can be accessed by selecting my library on the home screen for more help information visit amazon.com forward slash device support
