Reading Books on your Amazon Kindle

Your Kindle library is stored securely in your Amazon Cloud from the Home screen tap my library to display your content tap downloaded to see the items you've downloaded to your Kindle or tap all to view your entire content library including items stored in the cloud items with a checkmark have been downloaded to your kindle items without a checkmark are currently being stored in your cloud library tap an item to open it or download it you can view your Kindle content in either List View or grid view from your library tap the all items drop-down menu and select either List View or grid-view while reading tap or swipe the right area of the screen to go to the next page tap or swipe the far left area of the screen to go to the previous page some Kindle devices feature page turn buttons which you can also use to turn pages forward or backward to access the reading toolbar and menu options tap the top of your screen while reading the reading toolbar includes the go-to icon which lets you quickly navigate through your book the x-ray button which shows you detailed information on your book the font icon which lets you customize your text display the share button which connects you to your social networking sites and the bookmark icon that marks specific pages in your book the menu icon contains additional enhancements and options for customizing your reading experience including the ability to read your books in either landscape or portrait view to switch between views select either landscape or portrait mode use the bottom toolbar to access page flip to quickly skim pages or chapters without losing your current place swipe or tap the arrows in the preview window to flip page by page tap the arrows at the bottom of the screen to flip by chapter press and drag the location circle to move to any point in your book tap the page in the preview window to go to that page or tap the X to return to your current place in the book please note that the page flip feature may not be available on all titles for more help information visit amazon.com forward
